Yellow Palo Verde

Parkinsonia microphylla
In the United States: Native · also called foothill palo verde, little-leaved palo verde, yellow paloverde

Yellow flowers provide abundant nectar and pollen visited by honeybees and native bees. The drought-deciduous tree with green photosynthetic bark and nitrogen-fixing roots blooms in arid rocky habitats and may skip flowering in low-rainfall years. Bees use it as a significant spring resource in its native range.
