Fragrant creamy-yellow flowers in terminal spikes attract honeybees and other pollinators during late summer and early fall. Rhizomatous perennial that thrives in moist but well-drained humus-rich soil in sun or partial shade; forms dense clumps and spreads via rhizome fragments.
