Wood Anemone
Anemone nemorosa
Bees visit wood anemone primarily for pollen in early spring, with limited nectar available; peak bloom occurs in April, supporting emerging colonies. It spreads slowly via rhizomes, forming colonies without becoming invasive in gardens. Occasionally browsed by deer, but generally resilient in shaded woodland settings.
