Spring Beauty
Claytonia virginica
Spring beauty provides valuable early-season nectar and pollen for honeybees from March to May, peaking in April when few other blooms are available. Its small, pink-streaked white flowers attract foragers in woodland settings, but the plant goes dormant after flowering and requires moist, humus-rich soil.
