Late-season bloomer in saline coastal habitats that supplies nectar and pollen to honeybees and other pollinators when other resources may be scarce. Produces daisy-like flower heads from mid-summer into autumn on short-lived perennials with fleshy leaves. Adapted to salt marshes and estuaries.
