Flat-topped clusters of small creamy-white flowers provide nectar and pollen visited by honey bees and other pollinators in late spring. Blooms for two to three weeks as a clumping shrub or small tree in moist to dry woods, thickets, and along streams. Tolerates a range of light from full sun to shade.
