Honey bees visit red raspberry for its abundant, high-sugar nectar and plentiful pollen during the early summer bloom period. Peak foraging occurs over several weeks as white flowers open in panicles on second-year canes. The plant spreads aggressively via rhizomes, forming thickets that may need pruning or barriers to manage near apiaries.
