Red Clover
Trifolium pratense
Honeybees primarily collect pollen from red clover, as the long corolla tubes limit nectar access compared to bumblebees. It blooms from May to September, with peak in June-July providing mid-summer forage. Short-lived perennial that may need reseeding every 2-3 years and can spread aggressively in favorable conditions.
