Ragweed

Ambrosia artemisiifolia
In the United States: Native · also called common ragweed, annual ragweed

Wind-pollinated annual herb that produces abundant airborne pollen but offers negligible nectar. Honey bees visit it only as a last resort for pollen during late-season dearth periods; the pollen is of poor nutritional quality. Blooms from mid-summer into early autumn in open, disturbed sites.
