Purple Mountain Saxifrage

Honeybees visit purple mountain saxifrage for early-season nectar and pollen in cold climates, particularly in alpine and tundra habitats. Peak bloom occurs from May to August, providing forage during short growing seasons. This cushion-forming perennial thrives in rocky, well-drained soils with partial shade and is not known to be invasive.
