Honeybees visit purple deadnettle for its early nectar and pollen, crucial when other sources are scarce in spring. Peak bloom hits in April, supporting colony buildup. It spreads readily as a winter annual weed in lawns and disturbed sites, but poses no management issues for beekeepers.
