Pride of Madeira
This evergreen shrub produces tall spikes of bluish-purple flowers visited by honey bees for both nectar and pollen. Bees are frequently observed carrying distinctive purple pollen loads from the blooms. It performs best in full sun and well-drained soils in mild, Mediterranean-type climates.
