Northern Goldenrod
This compact perennial produces clusters of bright yellow flowers that attract honeybees and other pollinators for nectar and pollen during late summer when many other forage sources decline. It thrives in well-drained, rocky or gravelly soils in alpine and subalpine habitats and is drought tolerant once established.
