New York Aster

Late-blooming herbaceous perennial that provides nectar and pollen to honey bees and other pollinators during late summer and fall when few other sources remain. Flowers attract bees, butterflies, and specialized native bees; plants show moderate deer resistance and thrive in moist, well-drained soils.
