Podophyllum peltatum

Honeybees visit mayapple primarily for its nutritious pollen, as the flowers produce no nectar. Peak bloom occurs in April to May, providing early-season forage in woodland understories. The plant forms dense colonies via rhizomes in shaded, moist areas and is not typically invasive.
