Heartleaf skullpea
A shade-tolerant mint-family perennial that produces tubular blue-purple flowers attractive to honeybees for nectar. Peak bloom occurs in late spring through early summer with continuous flowering possible into fall in milder climates. Spreads readily via rhizomes to form groundcover patches but dies back in summer heat before regrowing.
