Perennial herb or subshrub producing yellow daisy-like flowers that supply nectar and pollen to honeybees and native bees over an extended period. Blooms from late spring into fall in a wide range of habitats including dry slopes and disturbed areas. Resinous foliage may deter some herbivores.
