Ground Ivy
A low-growing perennial creeper in the mint family that produces tubular lavender flowers visited by honey bees primarily for nectar in spring and early summer. Nectar production is variable but can be energetically rewarding for foragers on a per-flower basis, though pollen is not readily collected. It spreads aggressively via stolons and forms dense mats in moist, shaded to partially sunny disturbed sites.
