Frostweed
Provides abundant late-season nectar that supports honeybee colonies building stores before winter. White composite flowers attract bees from mid-summer through fall in partly shaded woodland edges and moist sites. Stems can split and exude water that forms intricate ice crystals after the first hard freezes.
