Florida goldenrod—
Solidago fistulosa
In the United States:
Native
· also called pinebarren goldenrod
Goldenrods provide a major late-season nectar and pollen source for honeybees, often contributing to fall honey flows. Plants produce dense clusters of small yellow flowerheads that attract foragers in large numbers. Hollow stems offer nesting sites for solitary bees; the species spreads by rhizomes and tolerates a range of sandy soils from moist to dry.
