Bees visit the daisy-like lavender flowers for nectar and pollen during the spring desert bloom. Peak flowering occurs March through May, with occasional fall rebloom after monsoon rains. It is a drought-tolerant perennial subshrub requiring full sun and excellent drainage in rocky or sandy soils.
