Attracts bees and other pollinators to its daisy-like yellow flower heads for nectar and pollen during late summer and fall. An annual that thrives in disturbed sandy or gravelly soils, self-seeds readily, and provides extended bloom in suitable conditions. Contains bitter compounds making it unpalatable or toxic to livestock.
