Honeybees avidly visit bigleaf linden for its abundant nectar and pollen during early summer blooms, often producing a prized light honey. Peak flowering lasts 2-3 weeks in June-July, drawing heavy foraging activity. Trees may host aphids that produce honeydew, providing an additional but variable food source for bees.
