Bebb's Willow
Salix bebbiana
Bebb's willow is a vital early-spring pollen source for honeybees, with moderate nectar availability supporting brood rearing when few other blooms are present. Catkins emerge from April to June, peaking in May across its range, providing essential forage for colony buildup. It prefers moist, riparian sites and forms thickets that may need thinning to integrate into apiary plantings.
