American Chestnut
Male catkins produce nectar and abundant pollen visited by honeybees; historically a major early-summer honey flow. Bloom lasts roughly two weeks with peak activity in June–July. Primarily wind-pollinated but bees aid pollen transfer on the showy catkins.
