Alsike Clover
Trifolium hybridum
Honey bees visit Alsike clover primarily for its abundant nectar, which yields a light, mild honey during peak bloom from June to August. It also provides substantial pollen for bee nutrition. This short-lived perennial tolerates wet and acidic soils better than other clovers but can become weedy in disturbed areas.
