Alpine Arnica

Arnica alpina
In the United States: Native · also called Narrowleaf arnica, Arctic arnica

Honeybees forage on alpine arnica mainly for its pollen, with limited nectar available, making it a valuable mid-summer pollen source in suitable climates. Bloom peaks in July-August, providing a reliable but short flow in alpine meadows. It prefers full sun and well-drained, gravelly soils; excessive moisture can lead to rot, and it may need mulching for winter protection in non-native areas.
