Agave
Agave deserti produces tall stalks of yellow flowers that attract honeybees for both nectar and pollen in arid habitats. Bloom occurs sequentially over several weeks in late spring through early summer. The monocarpic plant dies after flowering and seed set but readily produces offsets for continued colony support.
