European Foulbrood (EFB)

Symptoms

Twisted larvae outside cells, off-white to yellow, sour smell.

Treatment

Often resolves with strong nectar flow and a new queen. Severe cases may require terramycin (prescription).

Prevention

Maintain colony strength and replace combs every 3-5 years.
